An SBOM (Software Bill of Materials) inventories code — packages, versions and licenses. An AIBOM (AI Bill of Materials) extends it with the AI-specific components an SBOM ignores: the models and datasets, each with its license and provenance. In an AI product the model and its training data are dependencies with risk, exactly like an npm package.
